Pilates Instructor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 450 hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification from an accredited training program (including Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
- 1+ years teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated instruction abilities, with experience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus-based group class, with a genuine interest in student success whether novice or seasoned practitioner
- Outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide exceptional client service
- Genuine ability to connect with complete strangers on a personal level
- Willingness to grow and remain a student forever
- A sense of humor
- Demonstrated anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
- Maintain open availability for a minimum of 6 hours (2 shifts) per week
- Skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Exo-Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle, Barre, and Trigger Point modalities
- Current CPR Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive to studio a minimum of 10-15 minutes prior to class start time
- Create a personal connection with each student
- Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Club Pilates standards and guidelines for each of the class types and levels
- Set up classroom appropriately: equipment, props, mat, music, lighting
- Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
- Provide top-notch Pilates group class instruction using the appropriate apparatus
- Follow up with students after class
- Build community and connection with members
- Maintain a clean and safe club during shift by assisting with cleaning tasks as directed by General Manager or company policies
- Follow all procedures established by company to operate club in accordance with government health directives and guidelines
- Stay up to date with and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
- Provide Pilates instruction for private and semi-private training as scheduled by a management and pursuant to Club Pilates standards
- Other duties as assigned

- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and be able to move/push equipment as needed

- Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate well with others both one-on-one and in front of groups
- Ability to think and process information quickly, clearly and accurately
- Strong reasoning ability; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions; able to deal calmly and logically with problems and people, even under pressure.
